Jonathan Hutto, Navy veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, co-created in 2006 the “Appeal for Redress,” a petition delivered to the United States Congress from active duty troops demanding an end to the war.  After leaving the military, Hutto coupled his deep commitment to anti-racism activism with leadership in Veterans for Peace’s project to address Islamophobia.
